BARBARA BICKHAM OBITUARY
Barbara Ann Bickham, born March 16, 1950, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the age of 72. Barbara was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA and faithful member of Pentecost Baptist Church. Daughter of the late Mary and Leroy Bickham. Beloved and adored mother of Kenneth (Teresa), Ricky (Jayuana) and Corey (Tynell). Retired employee of Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) where she established countless friendships sharing wisdom and stories about her family with those she encountered, to share some strengths of her character (honesty, bravery, kindness, self-confidence, forgiveness and most of all LOVE). Proud grandmother of Brittney (Trent), Brandi, Quanterish, Koriell, Shaniece, Corey, Riana, Sania, Gabriel and Assyria. Loving great grandmother of Trinity, Makhi, Emerson, Journi, Sevyn and Naomi Rose. Also survived by an aunt, Dorothy (Elaine) Lee; siblings, Lynette, Gail, and Jimmy Bickham; a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, best friends, Albertha (Pee Wee) Tucker, Angelina Peters, Janice Kennedy and Sharon (Fat) Craig. In addition to her parents, Barbara is also preceded in death by her grandmother, Naomi Bickham; uncles, Myrtis Dillon and RG Brown; aunt, Gladys Bickham; siblings, Laverda Suber, Leroy, Clarence, Lionel and Robert Bickham; cousins, Larry and Keith Dillon, John R. Brown, Patricia Brown, Lil Jermaine Toussaint; nephews, Lionel and Alvin Bickham; best friends, Wanda Christmas and Arlena Scott. She will be missed and remembered by family, friends, former co-workers, neighbors and anyone who's life she impacted. Special thanks to Notre Dame Hospice, the nursing staff at Ochsner Baptist Hospital and Lafon Nursing Facility for the loving care during her final days with us. Thanks to Charbonnet Funeral Home.
