Barrey Lee Jackson entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born on September 4, 1960, in New Orleans, LA to the union of the late Hodges and Inez Alverez Jackson. Barrey was a proud graduate of St. Augustine High School Class of 1980 and attended Southern University at Baton Rouge. He was a former employee of Domino Sugar Refinery. Devoted husband of Tania Gable Jackson. Beloved father of Tia Amanda and Ian Samuel Jackson; Grandfather of Eli Wade Simmons. Brother of Lechall, Bruce and Terrence (Tracey) Jackson. Son-in-law of Samuel Gable, Jr. Brother-in-law of Gregory Gable, Sr. (Debra), Sabrina Freeman, Deirdre and Shawna Gable. Also survived by Godparents, Lillie Mae Cosse and Lionel Alverez, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family; Pastor, Officers and members of Franklin Avenue and Zion Hill Baptist Churches; employees of the United States Postal Service are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. Barrey Lee Jackson will be held at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 8282 I-10 Service Road South, New Orleans, LA 70126 on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10 am.
