CLEVELAND NELSON OBITUARY
Mr. Cleveland James Nelson passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born September 21, 1965 in New Orleans, LA to the late Carolyn Nelson Mimms. In addition to his mother, Mr. Nelson is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Lavenia Celestine Nelson; aunt, Linda Nelson Burrell; uncles, Alton Celestine and Tyrone Burrell. He leaves to cherish his memory, twelve inherited siblings, Lavenia, Julia, Marchand, Linda, Tamara and Rene Nelson, Taisha (Terrence) Coffil, Takeisha Nelson (James) Raiford, Darnell, Tyrone, Walter (Dominique) and Peter (Chrishawn) Nelson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration service honoring the life of the late Mr. Cleveland James Nelson will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 12 noon, Apostle Charles Marquez, Officiating. Interment Holt Cemetery. Visitation 11 am in the chapel. Repass to follow. Due to Covid variants, face masks and social distancing strongly encouraged.
