LESLIE NEWMAN OBITUARY
Leslie 'Coco' Newman, a native and resident of New Orleans, LA departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the age of 47. She was born to the union of Dale Green-Newman and the late Warren Richard Newman, Sr. Survivors include her children, JiaChè (Juan) Desiree Newman, Solè Nikia Newman and Jerome Taylor, Jr; siblings, Nikia Chantell Newman and Warren Richard Newman, Jr; parental partner, Jerome Taylor, Sr. Leslie is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, Leslie was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred Curley and Robert Green, Jr., Esther Green and Lucy Mae Newman. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A drive-through viewing will be held at Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3 pm to 6 pm. A funeral service honoring the life and legacy of the late Leslie 'Coco' Newman will be held at Our Lady of Guadelupe Catholic Church, 411 N Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70112 on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 9:30 am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122. Visitation 8:30 am in the church.Due to Covid variants, face masks and social distancing strongly encouraged.
