DELORIS BOURGEOIS OBITUARY
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deloris Doris Bourgeois. She was born on October 1, 1933 at Charity Hospital and lived an amazing life. Deloris was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School, Class of 53 and was a pilar in her community. She worked over 20 years for the Desire Community Center. She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Bourgeois and Edna Johnson; sons, Ronald and Darrell Bourgeois; sister, Sylvia Osborne. She leaves to cherish her memory, a host of loving siblings, grandchildren, other family and friends. A Celebration service honoring her life and legacy will be held at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, 3015 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA 70126 on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 10 am. Interment Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70003. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to COVID variants, face masks and social distancing strongly encouraged.
