Mr. Walter M. George, Jr., entered eternal rest on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the age of 79. Son of the late Irma Legier and Walter George, Sr. Beloved father of Shvanda (Terry, Sr.) Brown, Varanetta (Rudolph, III) Price, Walter George, III, Deslyn Williams (Spencer), Lennis George, Marcus Nellum, Lesley (Mark) Brown, Raynard Hall and Durell (Shindy) Daniels. Devoted companion of Christine Thomas. Brother of Linda Verrett, Sandra Hubbard and Diane (Richard) Kirton. Also survived by thirty three grandchildren, fifty four great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends; Pastor, Officers and members of Greater Evergreen, Greater Emmanuel Missionary and Second Mt. Calvary Baptist Churches; Tulane on the Terraces, EST, Taxi Cab Drivers, New Orleans Employers, I.L.A. Local 3000, Metairie Manor, Fortune Fish, Boh Brothers Construction; Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Heart of Hospice are invited to attend the funeral. A Celebration service honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Walter M. George, Jr. will be held at Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, 2243 Clouet Street, New Orleans, LA on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11 am, Pastor Terrance A. Ranson, Officiating.
