CALVIN SAULNY OBITUARY
Calvin Joachim Saulny, Jr., departed this life on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Bro. Saulny was born on August 8, 1956 to the late Calvin J. Sr. and Polly Saulny. He attended Orleans parish public schools and was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School (Bull Dogs). Calvin furthered his education at Xavier University, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He was employed as a Regional Vice President for 35 years at Primerica Financial Services. Bro. Saulny was baptized in 1990 at the Louisa Street Church of Christ and served as a Deacon for 7 years. He and his wife headed the Marriage Ministry and he also was a mentor and basketball coach until Hurricane Katrina. Bro. Calvin Saulny and his family relocated to Katy, Texas where he attended Trinity Gardens Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Bro. Saulny is also preceded in death by his Godmother, Carol Adams. He leaves to cherish precious memories, wife, Patricia Saulny; children, Quinsey, Roshanda and stepson, Daniel Perkins, Jr; nine grandchildren; siblings, Pamela Flot (Marlon) and Cyril B. Saulny; sister-in-law, Elaine Shelby (Randy) and brother-in-law, Edward Smooth, Sr. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers- Horace Sinclair, Rip Taylor and Sedrick Thomas, along with other relatives and friends. A Memorial service honoring the life and legacy of the late Bro. Calvin Joachim Saulny, Jr., will be held at Crowder Blvd Church of Christ, 7301 Crowder Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70126 on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10 am. Visitation 9 am at the above location.
