Obituary for Pierre Nicholas LaFrance

PIERRE LAFRANCE OBITUARY
On March 15, 2023, Pierre Nicholas LaFrance, 73, passed away in Heritage Manor of Slidell in Slidell, Louisiana. The son of George Joseph LaFrance and Louise Jarrow LaFrance, he was born on February 11, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana. After 25 years of service as a mule trainer and horse-and-buggy tour guide, Pierre retired in 2017. Working with horses in the French Quarter was his love. He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn LaFrance, his brother George H. LaFrance in addition to his parents Louise J. and George J. LaFrance. In addition to his dear friend Helen Washington, he is survived by his sons, Pierre Jr. and Byron LaFrance; four stepchildren, Jackie, Reunrrell, Cory, and Terrell Washington; godson, Raymond Stewart, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; one sister Joyce LaFrance Jackson, two step brothers, Keith and Kenneth LaFrance and a host of nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held March 31, 2023 at 10:00 am at Charbonnet Funeral Home, 1615 St. Phillip St, New Orleans, LA. 70116 with Visitation at 9:00am. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 4000 Norman Mayer Ave, New Orleans, LA 70122. Due to COVID variants, face masks and social distancing encouraged.
