CARNEAL KNAPPER OBITUARY
Mr. Carneal "Fafa" Knapper, Jr., son of Carneal Knapper, Sr. and Dwana Slater Knapper entered this earthly life on December 27, 1992 in New Orleans, LA. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. In addition to his parents, survivors include his sons, Carneal, III "C3" and Caleb Michael "Poopy"; siblings, David "Buddy" McGee (Jacquekeia) and Na'eshia Southall (Kelvin); grandmother, Clara Lee; aunts, Renee Laurendine (Travis), Denise Robinson (his second mother) (Dale), Christina Woodridge (Norman), Hazel Lee (Lee), Maxine Lee, Betty Jean Johnson (Eugene), Cassandra (Toto) Knapper; uncles, David Slater Jr., Larry Lee and Issac "Jerry" Knapper (Denise); great aunts, Evangelist Patsy Blackman (Robert), Lorraine Blackwell and Adrienne Mathieu (Cornell); great uncles, Henry Slater, Tom and Timothy Jones; niece, Jaylah Page; nephew, Kelvin Love, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends. Mr. Knapper is preceded in death by his great-great grandparents, Julia and Joseph Slater; great-grandparents, Marie Evona Jones, Lawerence Jones, Sr., Levi Knapper and Clara Brown Knapper; grandparents, Elaine and David Slater and Issac Knapper; uncle, Darren "Oscar" Slater; aunts, Mary Ann Norman, Margie Hulitt, Linda Lee and cousin, Byron "Manky" Knapper. A Homegoing celebration honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Carneal "Fafa" Knapper, Jr., will be held at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 1525 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10 am. Interment Lake Lawn Cemetery, Metairie, LA. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to Covid variants, face masks and social distancing encouraged.
