JULES MATTHEWS OBITUARY
Jules Matthews departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Beloved son of Jules Hardy and the late Irma Matthews. Brother of Joseph Matthews, Cynthia (Herbert) Derkins, Dwain Hardy, the late Bridgette Hardy and Susan Matthews. Also survived by forty six nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, Priest and Parishioners of Corpus Christi/Epiphany Catholic Church, Physicians and staff of John J. Hainkel Rehabilitation, Audubon Retirement, Ochsner Medical Center, Touro Infirmary and the Marigny community, are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of the late Mr. Jules Matthews will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10 am. Interment St. Louis Cemetery No. 2, 300 N. Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70116. Visitation 9 am in the church. Due to COVID variants, face masks and social distancing strongly encouraged.
