Obituary for Dolores "Big Mama" Charbonnet

Dolores "Big Mama" Charbonnet, Age 98 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Mrs. Charbonnet was born in Slidell, LA on September 30, 1919 but lived most of her life in New Orleans and has resided in Pearl River, LA since Hurricane Katrina. Big Mama was a former member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Orleans. Beloved wife of the late Clement Charbonnet, Jr. Mother of Joel (Peggy), Allen (Rose), Jean Berteaux (the late Darrel), Clement, III (Elena), Jill Courseault (Percy) and the late Carl. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, forty two great and twelve great great grandchildren.Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral Mass at 11 'o'clock A M on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA.
Visitation 8:30 AM with Eulogy beginning at 10 AM IN THE CHURCH.
Burial will follow Mass at Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
