Yvonne Severin Vigne, 101 years old, a native of New Orleans passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 4, 2018. Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She worked outside the home until her 70s while caring for her family. Her passions were her family, laughter, dancing, cooking great meals and loving the Lord. Yvonne was the 4th of 12 children. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo J. Vigne and son Leo G. Vigne. She is survived by her children, Betty Barney of Slidell, Mona LeBeaux of Georgia, Travis Despenza of New Orleans and Keziah Clarke of California as well as her siblings Roxylin White and William Severin, 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff at St. Margaret's at Mercy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 Am at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church 1923 St. Philip Street, New Orleans,LA. Visitation begins 9:00 AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
