I was saddened when I heard the news of Rev's passing. Growing up on America Street and as a member of Gloryland B.C. I've known Rev. Dunbar and his family nearly all of my life. He and Sis Dorothy were very close friends of my family. In fact, they were like family. I have memories of visiting their home on Sundays after church, eating at his table and playing with Connie and Gerald. I will always remember him as a kind and thoughtful family man and pastor. He blessed our babies, visited our sick, buried our dead and comforted us through it all. When my mom got sick and could no longer attend church, Rev. Dunbar was there. He visited her in the hospital and when she was released he called and came to check on her. I'll never forget his thoughtfulness and acts of kindness during her illness. I no longer live in New Orleans and didn't see him often but I will miss him still. To his wife, children Connie, Yvette, Derek and Devin, may the God of all peace comfort your hearts and souls and may you always find comfort in the loving memories you shared with him. I will pray for all of you as you continue to heal and move forward in the days ahead. Weeping may endue for a night, but joy comes with the morning light.
God Bless and keep you all, from Ms. Daisy's daughter, Jean

The Bernie Dumas family is deeply honored to have had such a most noble man as Mack Dunbar in our company n family. He is the most honorable n trustworthy person I have ever known n I wished my dad would have left this dealership to him as I suggested. My prayers go out to all the family n I know he will be missed dearly by the community n all those he made happy with a sale from Bernie Dumas Buick. God Bless
